Deon Van der Lith

Professional game ranger and nature guide with a passion for creating experiences and being the link between the natural environment and the people that want to know. Born in schooled locally in Johannesburg in a revolutionary period that saw apartheid overthrown i grew up with a raw understanding of the country and its people aswell as an unmatched passion for the fauna and flora this beautiful continent has to offer.

After school, i packed my belongings and moved to the bush to start my career in Anti-poaching and counter-poaching which gave me the best first hand experience that anybody can get in animal behaviour and bush knowledge; also to feed my love of animals and my wish to do good in the battle for wildlife conservation.

After 5 years in anti-poaching I completed a nature guiding course and qualified to work as a field guide and game ranger. I guided in various areas in South Africa, mostly in Kruger National Park and Zululand for 9 years which led me to start Greenlion Adventures, a company that creates specialized guided tours aimed to bring out the best of Southern Africa! All my tours are undertaken with aim to guarantee the perfect level of guided adventures with a priceless difference!
