12 Day full on Kruger adventure (Per Person)

On the first day of your adventure, you will be landing in O.R. Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg. There, your driver or guide-driver is going to warmly welcome you and take you to you accommodation for you to refresh a bit after the flight. Depending on the time of your arrival, we can include some activities for that same afternoon, to make the most of your stay in the Gauteng Province and the beautiful Johannesburg.
Dinner and overnight in your accommodation.

After having an early breakfast in your hotel, we are going to hit the road into Kruger NP. We will be driving the whole morning through the astonishing Drakensberg Mountains, witness of an important part of the history of our beautiful country.
In our way we will make several stops to see some particularly beautiful spots as The God’s Window, The Pinnacle, the 3 Rondavels or the Bourke’s Luck Potholes. We will also make a quick stop in the former mining town of Graskop, situated already in Mpumalanga Province.
In the first hours of the afternoon, we will be arriving to the Kruger NP, we are going to check in our accommodation and visit a vit of the rest camp.
After this complete day, we will have our dinner in one of the restaurants of the camp.

If we want to make the most of the felines and the wildlife in the park, we must wake up early. This is precisely the main reason a person like you has chosen this itinerary. Accordingly, we will have coffee and rusks at the hotel and with the first lights of the day we are going to jump into the vehicle and start a whole full day of game drive around the southwest part of the Kruger. We will take our packed breakfast with us, and we will stop in one of the rest camps to have our lunch in one of their restaurants.
After lunch we will continue with the game drive, and we will arrive to the lodge in the first hours of the afternoon. The rest of the evening is going to be free for you to rest (or to write down all the species we have spotted during the day). Dinner in one of the restaurants of the camp.

Again, we wake up early, we have our coffee/tea and cookies at the lodge, and we jump into our vehicle to start a new day in the African savannah through a sunrise game drive, just after which we are going to have breakfast and check out of our accommodation.

Today, after breakfast, we are moving into the southeast part of the park  and check in our new accommodation in another of the KNP rest camps.

After checking in and visiting the camp, we will have lunch and rest a bit and just before the sun sets, we will start our game drive in which we will have the opportunity of witnessing one of the famous African sunsets. The perfect end for a lovely safari day. Dinner in one of the restaurants of the camp.

We will spend this whole day exploring an area situated north from where we were, from early morning to the afternoon. We will have our lunch in a rest camp and after the game drive we will have dinner in the same accomodation as the previous day, in Skukuza, what is known as the Capital City of the Kruger NP. This rest camp is the biggest and more vibrant rest camp of the Kruger and is situated on the southern banks of the Sabie River. Dinner in one of the rest camp restaurants.

Today is one of our favourite days of this wild itinerary. Today we are going to walk in the savannah, surrounded by the Big 5 and all the beauty and wilderness that you have seen during our game drives. Today is the day! You are going to experience the Kruger as not many people do.
Accompanied and protected by professional rangers we are going to start our +/-3 hours adventure from a strategic spot. From there we will walk and stop for nature explanations here and there. This is an experience that you will always remember and that will submerge you in the deepness of the south African veld. After the walk we will arrive at the lodge for you to have breakfast and rest and settle down all the emotions of the morning. Lunch in rest camp.
With the last lights of the day, we will depart in a sunset game drive and come back to the rest camp for dinner.
After diner, another incredible experience awaits us. We will make a NIGHT game drive to be able to spot the nocturnal species that otherwise we would only be able to hear. What a day!

Making the most if the early day lights we are going to do some birding from the hide in the Skukuza rest camp. This time of the day is perfect to enjoy the birds and their calls at its best. Breakfast and check out from our accommodation.

Today we are changing rest camp and heading north to Satara. The itinerary will take us most of the morning and we will be doing game drive meanwhile. On arrival, we will check in our new accommodation and have lunch. We will rest a bit in the afternoon and after dinner we are going to have another of the always exciting NIGHT game drives around the area.

Our day will be spent in a full day game drive around this area searching for wildlife and enjoying its vegetation characterized by knob thorn and marula savannah and its basaltic soils. We well have our packed breakfast in another rest camp and our lunch in one of its restaurants, and we will be heading to Satara in the first hours of the afternoon. Free time until diner that will take place in one of the restaurants of the camp.

Today we are moving northwest into one of the most beautiful nearby areas, the Balule Nature Reserve, named after the Tsonga name for the Olifants River, and that belongs to the Greater Kruger. After spending almost the whole morning on game drive-transfer to our new accommodation, we will arrive and check in at lunch time.

We will rest a bit in our lodge and afterwards we will make a sunset game drive. Dinner at the lodge.

Today is a very special day. We call it “Conservation Day” since we are going to spend it doing different activities related to the conservation of the wildlife and the environment. Making the most of being in this privilege area in which the conservation efforts are taken to the highest level, we are going to enrol in 2 or 3 activities for you to understand in a closer way, what is that the conservationists are doing for the animals. Since the activities may change depending on the days, we will adapt to the circumstances and chose the one we consider is going to suit you best. So as much as this is going to be a very special day, it will also be a totally surprise. Only as a clue, be ready for a sanctuary of a protected specie visit, or a walk with the lions, or a rhino darting for veterinarian purposes. Let’s see what is awaiting us!
After the conservation activities the day will still bring us one of the most amazing experiences of this trip: A BUSH NIGHT. We are going to camp in the middle of the reserve and feel the nature and the stars over as in all its immensity, accompanied by a perfect bush campfire. Dinner in campsite and overnight in tents.

After an early breakfast in the bush, we will start our drive back to Johannesburg. In our way we will stop in Hoedspruit to visit The Reptile Centre, to enjoy of the most  significative reptiles in Southern Africa. We will have a special lunch in a tropical garden town called Tzaneen and we will be arriving to Johannesburg in the afternoon.

We will have dinner in our accommodation.

Today you are flying back home or continuing your trip without us. Depending on your flight times, more activities can be arranged in or around Johannesburg area. Drop of at O.R.Tambo Airport and end of our adventure together. (for this time 😉)
